About the Workshop
In the new world of telemedicine, play therapy has not been an exception. As forever learners, we must adapt and allow clients to access play therapy even when they cannot attend in our physical playroom. Canva is a digital creation platform that allows you to create, express, and let your imagination run wild! It provides the opportunity to create flyers, cards, images, worksheets, brochures, games, and more. These items are commonly used as mediums in directive play therapies such as Group Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy in order to target specific goals. However, we will specifically focus on its use in both Adlerian Play Therapy and how it can be adapted for virtual Child Centered Play Therapy. Learners will be provided with the opportunity to practice Child Centered Play Therapy skills throughout the creation of their resources as well as how to help clients process what they have created. Additionally, learners will learn how to create directive activities conceptualizing through the 4 phases of Adlerian Play Therapy and interventions based on the Crucial Cs. The experiential portion of the session will allow learners to incorporate their theoretical framework and conceptualize the content created. Learners will explore different ways to allow their clients to express themselves creatively through Canva both as their own self care outside of session and collaboratively with the therapist. Using this modality allows learners to truly tailor their play therapy interventions to the needs and interests of their clients.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Learners will describe how to utilize at least 3 different templates in play therapy.
2. Learners will list at least 5 ways to use Canva in play therapy.
3. Learners will independently create 1 resource in Canva to use as a play therapy intervention.
4. Learners will be able to demonstrate effective basic use of Canva in collaboration with basic play therapy skills.

Grievance Policy
When a complaint, either verbally or written, is filed with the owner, the following guidelines are followed with respect to achieving resolution:
1. Complaints relative to a speaker or workshop leader, contents of instructional materials being presented, or an individual educational style being utilized, the individual voicing disapproval is requested to first address concerns to the presenter. If the presenter is not available, place his/her comments in writing. Owner will convey these comments to the speaker while maintaining confidentiality of the complainant.
2. If the complaint concerns a continuing education activity, its content, level of presentation, or facilities in which the event is being held, owner will attempt to resolve the mater as expeditiously as possible. If the offered resolution (resolutions may include, but
not be limited to partial/full refund of fees paid; credit toward future event) not satisfactory to the individual filing the complaint, then further action may be taken. In the later instance, the individual is requested to place his/her complaint in writing to the attention of the owner. The complaint is then reviewed by the owner. A written response will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the written complaint. Within 30 days of the resolution rendered by the owner, the complainant may file a written appeal to the owner. The decision of the owner is final.
