About the Workshop

This course is an interactive, practicum style, course that builds upon knowledge from basic Play Therapy skills. In this course, we will focus on applying child centered skills within the playroom. The course will begin with an overview of basic play therapy skills and a refresher on child-centered theory. The majority of this course will be spent in groups for a hands-on practicum experience where you will be able to role play skills with colleagues. The instructor will be able to view each practicum (via camera) experience in order to provide real-time feedback and support. The course is wrapped up with a large group debrief of experience. What would a play course be without ending with a relaxing expressive activity to decompress and capture the learning of the day?
